When I ran for state representative in 2008 I was a proponent for a constitutional convention and 2010 is no different. With all of the unmanageability in our state government, I am asking that you click on the link below. This link will take you a web-sight called Democracy Rising. I am urging ALL Pennsylvania's to sign this petition to put a referendum on the November 2010 ballot for a Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention. I am also asking all of you to support me in my efforts as I run for State Representative in the 115th district. The Legislature's Surplus
During the budget impasse, which lasted 101 days or 25% of the fiscal year, the Legislative Audit Advisory Committee stated on June 30 there was a surplus of $201 million! Why then wasn't this public money used to help balance the budget. Instead $87 million was used by the lawmakers themselves in the form of per diem's to maintain their operations. Don't fear, the budget for this year restores $67 million so the surplus at the years end will be $181 million! These lawmakers should not be worthy of our votes. This only shows the need to break from past leadership practices and our out-of-touch politicians. This is why I am running
